The number of patients being diagnosed with cancer is on rise in India and around the globe. Due to improvement in quality of cancer care, the number of cancer patients undergoing surgical interventions is also increasing. As the complexities of cancer surgeries are increasing and thus the dependency on dedicated anesthesiologists and critical care specialist for perioperative care of the cancer patients.

WHAT'S


        WELCOME

Dr B.R.A., I.R.C.H., All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi is a dedicated centre for providing holistic and comprehensive care for cancer patients. This centre has taken a lead to set up the Department of Onco-Anaesthesia and Palliative Medicine under the leadership of Prof Sushma Bhatnagar. The department has six well trained faculty (Dr Sushma Bhatnagar, Dr Seema Mishra, Dr Rakesh Garg, Dr Nishkarsh Gupta, Dr Vinod Kumar, Dr Sachidanand Jee Bharati) and provides service to anesthesiology, intensive care, pain and palliative care. Department is conducting regular academic programmes and workshops related to Onco-anaesthesia, critical care and pain and palliative care. 

The cancer management is evolving with regards to treatment modalities, drug therapies and various interventions. New evidence and information is being added around the globe. The cancer management is increasingly being done in this subcontinent and thus a dire need for keeping ourselves updated. In this context there is urgent need of an academic activity with inputs from experts in this field. So we have planned this academic feast with all spices of interactive sessions, panel discussion with experts, conference for sharing and updating our knowledge. 

We welcome you to join the academic activity in this national capital territory and enjoy not only the academics but also the rich culture of Delhi. The conference and workshop would be held on October 14-15th  at Jawharlal Nehru Auditorium AIIMS, New Delhi. Looking forward to your esteemed presence at CME and workshop and making it a grand event with your active support and participation.
